Kivuton originates from a veterinary clinic in Joensuu Finland. It's grown on three cornerstones: pet health expertise, wide assortment and superior customer experience (what we call a five-star webshop). We view these as a fantastic foundation to building a strong international webstore, and chose Sweden as the first new geo as we have a footing in the market through Alvar Pet. 

The webshop found an international brand name in VetaPet and saw daylight in February. 

Key milestones since launch

Since going live in February, our Swedish webshop has: 

  • Processed 1,000+ customer orders
  • Achieved 100% successful deliveries
  • Grown the assortment to approximately 4,000 products

The strong start is a testament to the trust Swedish pet owners are placing in VetaPet as a reliable and accessible provider of quality pet care products. Furthermore, we now have an global setup that supports further international expansion – and the first chapters of a provenly successful go-to-market playbook. 

How customers found us

Customer insights show that the majority discovered our webshop through Google, followed by Meta, and curiously word of mouth from friends and veterinarians have already started to generate a considerable amount of customers. This emphasises the value of the credibility, expertise and authority that we’ve set off to build in the pet community.

Survey results highlight that the top reasons customers love shopping with us include:

  • Products of high quality

These insights reaffirm our mission: to offer an unbeatable combination of value, convenience, and quality combined with expert advice. 

High satisfaction levels

Customer feedback speaks volumes. So far a delightful 90% of customers reported being either satisfied or very satisfied. The neutral or negative experiences traced back to availability, as forecasting for a new market whilst maintaining a lean stock always comes with its learning curve. 

What’s next for VetaPet Sweden? 

As we look to the future, we build on this strong foundation by:

  • Strengthening our role as a trusted voice in the Swedish pet health community.

  • Enhancing the customer experience by making it even easier to search, browse, and discover the right products.
